SKYPE CBT

The Chichester CBT Clinic is a key provider of internet based CBT using Skype

Online CBT can be particularly effective for people who are too ill to attend clinic, or who have other commitments, and are unable to continue attendance at clinics.

Skype allows both the client and psychologist to see and hear each other via a computer screen. All you need is a webcam and a microphone and to download Skype onto your computer.

All necessary information may be found at www.Skype.com. There is no charge for Skype to Skype calls. You can prepay your CBT session by debit card/credit card.

Our consultant chartered psychologists are each very experienced in using the internet to assist clients and are all extremely confident with this technology.

CBT using Skype still allows for the essential collaborative working alliance between therapist and client to develop. This is a proven necessary component in successful treatment. Our belief in the importance of the collaborative working alliance is the reason why Christine Tizzard Psychological Consultants CBT clinic's do not provide stand-alone email therapy.

Christine Tizzard Psychological Consultants has been providing internet based CBT for many years. Initially the service was developed to treat military personnel based in remote locations across the world who were experiencing the psychological effects of active conflict.
Over a number of years, the service was gradually extended to provide CBT for the full range of difficulties, to clients who preferred for a variety of reasons to access treatment in this manner.
